40 years a journalist. Started in local radio before moving to TV at the end of the 80’s. Self filming and editing news reports and documentaries from the late 90s. Initial ambition to be a music journalist realised as a student. More time spent watching live music now having finished as BBC’s political editor in the East Midlands this year. Currently a trustee of the Child Migrants Trust and also making films for them.
